The job

Transport paramedics play an essential role in patient transport, particularly where the person’s condition is stable. Their work carries full responsibility for coordinating, organising and carrying out patient transports so that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Through their precise work they help patients reach their destination safely and comfortably.

You take an active part in internal training and courses that help you deepen your knowledge and perfect your skills. This comprehensive training prepares you well for the examination and lets you meet your future professional challenges with solid knowledge and real confidence.

Minimum age 19

Completed upper secondary education: grammar school or specialised school. Three-year vocational training or an equivalent qualification

Category B driving licence, ideally already with code 121/122

A clean record

Enjoyment of working with people

Good physical and mental health

Independence, a sense of responsibility, reliability

Flexibility and the ability to work in a team

Very good spoken and written German; further languages an advantage

A well-groomed appearance and impeccable manners

All training costs covered (federal contribution — advanced by the trainee, reimbursed by the Confederation — plus MoPi’s financial contribution, examination fees included)

A placement in the rescue service

Highly qualified specialists accompanying you through the training

Internal continuing education once you have qualified
